About Us

Tinpot Alley is the sister company of Butler Sheetmetal Ltd based in Colne, Lancashire, which is just at the end of the end of the M65 motorway in the North West of England. Butler Sheetmetal Ltd, run by the brothers Matt and John, has been in operation since 1997 and they have over 40 years combined experience in the world of sheet metal and bespoke stainless steel fabrication. You’re more than welcome to find more out about them and their company’s capabilities here.

Whilst Butler Sheetmetal Ltd concentrates on industrial fabrication for particular sectors, Tinpot Alley concentrates on the home decorative sheet metal fabrication side of things providing metal planters and other bespoke metalwork for modern urban homes, gardens and office spaces. We are specialists in the realisation of stainless steel design projects and their subsequent fabrication.

Tinpot Alley started a couple of years ago as Planters Direct with the aim of selling and stocking a range of flat-pack stainless steel planters. However, we soon realised that we were being led by customers requiring more of a bespoke planter and metalwork solution. Now we work mostly with other designers and architects who are in need of high quality fabrication for usual and unusual projects for their clients.

You can now also get in touch with us if you’re looking for bespoke metalwork or metal planters in America.

Please take your time and browse round the site. If there’s anything you think we could help you with then don’t hesitate to contact us.
